ok now here’s the thing.  i love death cab, i really do. transatlanticism and plans were the absolute bomb and i don’t doubt that this new one will be awesome as well..but first impressions are everything in today’s society, so i’m worried.  i can look past the stupid 4 minute intro..i don’t want to, but i can. long intros do always feel a bit too self-important to me though, so i take back my looking past and say eff you to death cab for that shit. but let’s get to the actual song. it’s death cabby enough i guess, but the melody is slightly irritating and they really seem to want you, the listener, to know the chorus inside and out because they repeat that shit like 394 times. ‘you gotta spend some time, love. you gotta spend some time with me. i know that you’ll find…love. i will possess your heart.’ over. and over. AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER in the same stupid robotic vocal style. but none of this matters because ill love the song next week. and so will you.
