There was a time when I thought that this movie’s predecessor, The DaVinci Code, was a crappy example of film-making and a huge disappointment given the quality of the book. Good news for all you DVC fans though, because as of tonight I now believe that movie to be of the highest possible quality, akin to only films like The Godfather. Why this drastic turnabout you ask? Well because I watched Angels and Demons tonight, of course.
I’m straining my brain to think of a lamer adaptation of a book, but I’m not coming up with anything. This movie was pure junk. It does such a HUUUGE disservice to the novel just by existing.
Sure, go ahead and watch it if you don’t believe me. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Read the book instead.
Now that that’s off my chest, I can rest easier.
Good day.
the shining, there’s an example of a really great book but a horrifyingly bad movie adaptation…it’s just an awful movie
