Justin Townes Earle — ‘Midnight At The Movies’ I’m kind of ashamed that, given my affinity for both singer/songwriter and americana/country-twinged stuff, that I hadn’t heard of this guy before. I mean, I’d heard of his daddy Steve, I’d heard of his namesake Townes Van Zant, but never really listened to them [...] #15 It’s a bit of a mystery as to why Emmylou Harris and her music had eluded me for as long as it did. You’d figure that my enjoyment of chilled out singers and classic country/roots artists and all things Nashville would surely have lead [...] #17 I’m really not sure why this isn’t a Bright Eyes release. I assume it’s just because he has some different dudes backing him this time around (‘The Mystic Valley Band’) and it was released on Merge instead of Saddle Creek.
