Come one, come all to view the finest collection of lists that this website has EVER seen. Surprises behind every corner! Shocking musical taste discoveries at every curve in the road! THIS is what Labor Day is all about my friends.  As you can see by the picture above, I’ve pulled out all the stops for this event..look at the big top! I took that picture of our tent (located just outside BEP Studios) moments ago, and I assure you that despite the majesty you are no doubt able to perceive from the photo, in person, it’s really REALLY something to see. But, if you’re unable to join us today, fear not, as I vow to you to do my very best to convey to you the awesomeness via words. And pictues. And whatever else I come up with.
But without further ado, I hereby call our List-A-Thon to order. People from all walks of life have contributed lists to us today..from celebrities and rock stars to commoners like you and I..we have all gathered here because of our appreciation of music..and lists.  If you wish to contribute, feel free to post your list (of your all time favorite records) in the comments section!! Oh the fun!
HEEERE WEEE GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

BRANDON’S ALL TIME TOP 25 CDs (as of right now)

#1 -- Damien Rice ‘O’
When it came time to make this list, I was in a bit of a pickle. I’ve had the same favorite cd for years on top of years, and it had lots of sentimental value but realistically it was only my number 1 for one song.  It was time for a change.  That’s where ‘O’ comes in. This record changed a lot of things for me musically. It was basically my gateway drug, it opened my eyes to a whole genre of music that has grown to surpass metal as my favorite. I love this cd so very much, as much today as the day I first listened in fact. It’s a perfect storm of awesome..musically, lyrically, everythingly. This cd dominates my itunes, it dominates my last.fm, and I feel very ok saying it’s become my favorite cd of all time.

FOOL OF GOLD

This right here would be my favorite cd of all time. Five years ago when Circle Takes the Square released a little indie cd called As The Roots Undo, little did I know what I was in for. I believe it started with a 4.5/5 review on theprp.com. As he usually does, Bk give any cd with a 3.5 or above review, a listen. At some point after he bought the disc, he let me borrow it, and I think I held on to it for like two weeks. At first I was kinda like ‘Eh, this is kinda different and kinda wacky and kinda cool.’ I didn’t pay too much attention to the lyrics and whatnot, but the music was very erratic and very original for its time. Hell, its still original, and its still erratic. Anyways, the more I listened to As The Roots Undo, the deeper this cd got. To this day, its meaning and depth is bottomless. This is a ‘concept record’ at its best. This isn’t even music in my ears. It’s like the purest form of poetry with a guitar, bass, and some drums in the background. This cd became a passion for me, I was obsessed with it for a year and a half, I had to learn every lyric. Five years later and this cd is still on a pedestal of its own, outdistancing itself from anything that tries to have meaning, or tries to dream up of some form of originality. This cd is untouchable.

The rest of my list is as follows:

NUMERO UNO
METALLICA- ‘AND JUSTICE FOR ALL’

James wanted his list posted similarly to mine with the number 1 all big and fancy so here it is. He also didnt give me anything to say about it, so I’ll ad-lib. I’ll tell ya what my man, this is ONE hell of a cd. If you pulled THE SHORTEST STRAW and you get to choose the music to be played while you’re ripping out the EYE OF THE BEHOLDER because he’s pretty much been a HARVESTER OF SORROW for as long as you can remember, this would be one hell of a cd to choose to listen to.  He’ll reach the FRAYED ENDS OF SANITY pretttty quickly because this is a metal assault that will leave his ears charred..no..BLACKENED..cause things this metal burn stuff.  He’ll ask you why you’re tearing his face off with this metallic assult, and you just say to him ‘this is DYERS EVE my man, they say that TO LIVE IS TO DIE, but you’re about to find out that to die is to die. I’m just takin out my revenge pal, because I believe in metal, killin dudes…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.
